The Five Towns College Women improve to 2-0 in USCAA conference play after defeating Webb Institute on Wednesday night by a score of 69-30. The Sound had its largest lead of the game at 40 points with two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. The women out-rebounded Webb 61-42, and converted 34 Webb turnovers into 28 points.
Three players reached double figures as the team spread the wealth with 18 assists. Chloe Walton led the team with 25 points, and also gathered eight rebounds and six steals. Denisha Allen scored her second double-double of the season with 20 points and 21 rebounds, and totaled six blocked shots. Destiny Martinez also scored 20 points and had a team-high nine assists.
The women return to play in the Five Towns Gymnasium tonight, November 9th, at 7 PM as they host Kingsborough Community College in a non-conference matchup.
