Dix Hills, NY - Five Towns College Athletics has announced Christian Barton as the head coach for the men's volleyball team, which will begin competition for the Spring 2021 season.

Barton is currently the volleyball coach at Eastport-South Manor High School, where he has helped lead the team to three Long Island Championships and one New York State title. He is also a coach with the Long Island Volleyball Club in Dix Hills.

“It is a great honor and privilege to work with Five Towns College and their athletic program. This is a dream job and something I have always wanted to do. I look forward to helping these young men become better people on and off the court as we build a program and I welcome the challenges of being a first-year head coach for a new program. This is an institution with a support system in place for all student-athletes that is second to none, and I am truly fortunate to work alongside the rest of the Five Towns College faculty and staff to promote the overall mission of the college.” stated Barton.

Barton earned his Bachelors in Sports Management from Columbia Southern University.
