Bio
Jason Fiscina was appointed as the head coach of the Five Towns College men’s soccer program on December 14th, 2018. Fiscina was hired to build the program from the ground up to begin competition for the inaugural 2019 fall season. On August 17, 2020, Fiscina was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director for Purchasing and Ordering. Since July 2024 he is currently serving as the Interim Athletic Director. In this role he has oversaw the transition to USCAA Division 1 membership, has helped organized/facilitiate the new conference the NACIA and secured the school's first apparel contract through Metro Team Outfitters with Nike.
Over the past 6 years (5 Competitive Seasons didn't compete in 2020 due to Covid 19) Fiscina has built the men's soccer program into a national power making the USCAA National Tournament on 4 occasions along with winning 3 consecuiting HVIAC Regular Season Titles and winning the HVIAC Conference Tournament in 2021. In 2021 it was an historic year for the men's soccer program, Fiscina led the Sound to 15-2 record and #1 ranking in the USCAA Coach's Poll securing the #1 seed at the National Tournament. Five Towns made the national championshp game finishing as National Runner's up. Fiscina was named USCAA National Coach of the Year. During Fiscina's tenure his players have had great sucess both on and off the field. 14 players have been named USCAA All Americans, 22 players have been named All HVIAC, 9 players named All NACIA, 1 HVIAC Rookie of the year (Hector Ruiz 2022), 2 HVIAC Player of the Year (Angel Chavez 2021 & Steven Paguada 2022), along with 1 USCAA National Player of the Year (Steven Paguada 2021). Fiscina was named the 2024 NACIA Coach Of The Year. On 4 seperate occations, Fiscina's scquads have defeated the #1 ranked team in the USCAA National poll.
In the fall of 2024 in the team's first season competing as USCAA Divsion 1 insitution, Fiscina led the the program to a 12-6-4 record including a 2-1-1 record in NACIA conference play and the #3 ranking in the USCAA Coach's Poll. Non-Conference results included wins overall several NCAA Division 3 institutions along with a 1-1 tie vs NCAA Division 2 insitution Chestunut Hill. Five Towns secured the #3 seed in the conference tournament and in their Semi-Final Contest they defeated Berkeley NJ 2-1 to advance to the NACIA Final. After falling in the NACIA Final, Five Towns recieved an at-large bid to the USCAA National Tournament as the #3 seed. In their first pool game vs Manor College, Five Towns won 4-1 securing securing Fiscina's 50th career victory securing a spot in the USCAA National Semi-Finals.
In March 2024, the American Amputee Soccer Association named Fiscina the Men's National Team Head Coach for US Amputee Soccer. Fiscina will be leading the team to the Gold Cup in Houndras along with preparing them for World Cup Qualifiers. Fiscina has also worked at ID Camps for both Fordham University and Stony Brook University. Lastly Fiscina serves as a tryout evaluator for Royal Sporting Long Island (youth) and evaluates for the New York Empire FC who is apart of the UPSL.
In the program’s first year in existence as a USCAA program and a Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference member, Fiscina led the Sound to a 9-4-1 (3-2-1 HVIAC) record.
Five Towns proved to be a team that could compete among the best. The Sound made it to the HVIAC semi-finals and were nationally ranked throughout the season, finishing 10th in the country; they also led the nation in goals per game with 5.21. Five Towns had four players named as USCAA Honorable Mention All-Americans; Robinson Munoz, William Rivera, Adrian Santos, and Adrian Wong. Munoz and Wong were also named as HVIAC All-Conference players.
The team’s most notable performances of the season were upsets over two nationally ranked programs. On October 8th, Five Towns defeated #8 NHTI 3-1 (Santos-2, Wong-1). For the biggest win of the season, Five Towns took down #1 Berkeley NY, who would later be named national champions, by a score of 4-3 on October 23rd (Molina-1, Rivera-1, Santos-1, Wong-1). The Knights entered the contest undefeated in conference play without allowing a conference goal all season.
Fiscina's other colliegiate coaching experience came when he served as the Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach/Director of Operations at Molloy College from 2011-2015. In this position, he was responsible for recruiting, scouting, video operations, and practice plans. During his time with the Lions, he helped coach the team to the best regular-season record in school history in 2012-13 (18-10, 13-5 conference), along with two consecutive East Coast Conference semi-final appearances. Fiscina’s last recruiting class went on to win the program’s first ever ECC Championship in 2019. He has coached/recruited eight players who went on to become 1,000 point scorers. Fiscina coached three players who continued their basketball careers overseas and in the NBA G-League including John Petrucelli, Charlie Marquardt, and Jaylen Morris, who saw NBA time with the Milwaukee Bucks.
After Molloy, Fiscina went on to coach at Friends Academy in Locust Valley, NY from 2016-2019. At Friends Academy, he coached girls basketball (varsity assistant 2016-2017, varsity head (2017-2019)), boys soccer (jv assistant 2017), and boys lacrosse (2016-2019).
Prior to Molloy, Fiscina had coached middle school soccer at Plainview JFK Middle School and was a varsity assistant lacrosse coach at Plainedge High School from 2010-2011. He has also served as a club trainer for the Plainedge Soccer Club, Plainview Soccer Club, and the Rocco Morelli’s Rising Star Soccer Academy.
Fiscina was a member of the Molloy College men’s soccer team from 2007-2008. In 2008, he was a member of the ECC Championship team (first in program history); the team also clinched a berth in the NCAA Regionals.
After playing for Molloy, Fiscina spent time playing for Long Island Juventus apart of the LISFL.
As a high school athlete at Plainedge, Fiscina was a member of the varsity lacrosse team and was a three-year varsity soccer player. He was 10th in the county for goals scored his junior year. He was named captain of the varsity team his senior year and was a United States Army Reserve Scholar Athlete. His senior season, Plainedge made the Section 8 playoffs for the first time in six years. Fiscina was also an alternate on the Long Island Empire State Team.
Fiscina earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Childhood/Special Education and his Master’s Degree in Teaching Students with Disabilities from Molloy College. He also holds a USSF Coaching License.
Fiscina is currently a Special Education teacher for the New York City Department of Education at JHS 194 in Whitestone, NY. He lives in East Northport with his wife Beth and their daughters Lauren and Madelyn.
