Pittsburgh, P.A. - Freshman Talaya Guirantes has been named USCAA Division II Women's Basketball Player of the Week, the association announced Tuesday.  
 
Guirantes (Bellport, NY) scored a game-high 32 points against NCAA Division I institution, Army on Saturday December 30, 2023. She also added 12 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 blocks.

Five Towns College (4-3) will open up the New Year on Thursday January 11 vs. Bryant & Stratton College-Buffalo (7-5). Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.
