Women's Basketball Earns At-Large Bid to USCAA National Championship

Pittsburgh P.A. - The Five Towns College women's basketball team has earned an at-large bid to the 2024 USCAA National Championship, held in Richmond, Virginia.

The Sound will enter the tournament as the #9 seed, with a current 12-6 record and the 6th highest scoring team in the USCAA, averaging 71.1 points. Talaya Guirantes and Jordan Tobin stand at 6th and 7th in the USCAA in points per game with 17.1 and 20.2, respectively. Tobin also stands 4th in rebounds with 14 per game.

Five Towns will face #8 Southern Maine Community College Seawolves on Sunday, March 10. The game will take place at Virginia State University Multi-Purpose Center at 11 a.m. Southern Maine has an overall record of 20-8 and stands 8th in the USCAA in scoring with 69.7 points per game. Maddy York (14.3 PPG) and Aija Andrews (12.6 PPG)will be the players to watch.
