Angelastro & Wong Pick Up HVIAC Weekly Honors

Dix Hills, NY - Five Towns College women's volleyball Junior libero Emily Angelastro and men's soccer Freshman forward Adrian Wong earned HVIAC weekly honors for week seven. Angelastro was named Women's Volleyball Player of the Week for the second time this season (September 24). Wong was named Men's Soccer Rookie of the Week for the second time this season (September 17).

In a 1-2 week for the women's volleyball team, Angelastro totaled 58 digs, and nine aces, and seven kills. She had 15 digs, eight aces, four kills, and two assists in the three-set sweep of Penn State-Scranton.

Men's soccer 2-0 week was led by Wong with three goals and an assist. He opened up the scoring with his lone goal of the game in the team's 3-1 upset victory over #8 NHTI. He contributed two goals and an assist in the 5-2 win over USCAA Division I Bryant & Stratton-Albany. Wong is second in the USCAA with goals scored (16). 

Also earning recognition for the HVIAC Honor Roll is women's volleyball player Lanasia Drain, and men's soccer player Adrian Santos. Drain put up 21 kills and three total blocks as Five Towns went 1-2 on the week. Santos tallied three goals in a 2-0 week for the Sound including two goals and the game-winner over USCAA #8 NHTI.
