Dan Splendore Named Head Women's Volleyball Coach

Dix Hills, N.Y. – Five Towns College Athletic Director Matt Guercio has announced that Dan Splendore has been named the Head Women's Volleyball Coach.  Splendore comes to Dix Hills after previously serving as the head varsity volleyball coach at Uniondale High School.

"We are delighted to welcome Dan and his family as our new head women's volleyball coach," Guercio said.  "Dan's ability to develop relationships with his students stood out during the interview process.  I look forward to seeing him utilize those strengths to further develop our program and build a strong foundation of success for volleyball at Five Towns College."

Since taking over the varsity team at Uniondale in 2021, Splendore has accumulated a 20-14 record in two seasons and helped produce two All-County and two All-County Honorable Mention student-athletes.

"I am extremely honored and excited to be given the opportunity to coach the women's volleyball program at Five Towns College," Splendore said. "As soon as I stepped foot inside the gymnasium, I knew this was going to be my new home. I look forward to building a program that focuses on hard work both on the court and in the classroom."

Splendore was a four-year volleyball varsity member at Kellenberg Memorial High School, where his squad won the 2001 Catholic High School Athletic Association (CHSAA).  He served as team captain in his senior season.  Splendore earned his Bachelor's Degree in English from SUNY Binghamton and his Master's Degree in Secondary Education and Teaching from Hofstra University.
